You will always be my most beautiful cinematic love story.
Chris Colfer at Nina Dobrev’s 25th Birthday Party.
I like the album, it is a cute debut. I don’t think it is amazing and I definitely thing she has the talent to make a better album, but it’s fun to sing to. The only song that irks the crap out of me for some reason is Burn with You lol.
Really? Burn With You?? haha we all get irked by different things :P
There is a good mix of sounds here and I would happily listen to it from start to end (minus Cannonball…sorry!). My favourite tracks are the slower songs because they all have very pleasant melodies - so pleasant in fact that they remind me of Japanese pop. I don’t know how to explain it but her songs don’t sound that like typical US music to me, but instead they have that certain sound which is common in Japanese pop.
It’s a very honest and straight forward album, perhaps too straight forward even. It would def be interesting to see what direction she choose for album #2.

Rising from the ashes like a phoenix, I give you, One Three Hill.
There are three bonus tracks? I heard the one that is on the Japan release. Unless you are talking about the ones that are on the deluxe edition? Cause that’s the one I bought on itunes.
Yeh I meant the three extra tracks on the deluxe version! It would be nice to have them on the actual hardcopy album too! (I saw you gushing about the song off the Japanese ver. Haven’t had a chance to hear it yet!)
I feel so bad admitting this but it’s my honest opinion…Canonball is my least favourite track off the album. I think On My Way or Louder could make a more radio friendly debut single - catchy and “trendy” (aka not BROADWAY) but still display her vocal abilities. But I understand that the song is meaningful to her and represents where she was at after the trauma so I SHALL RESPECT THAT CHOICE.
